The naming and launching ceremony for Ecobunker Shipping’s first vessel, Ecobunker Tokyo Bay, was recently held at Fukuoka Shipbuilding shipyard.
The Ecobunker Tokyo Bay is a multi-bunkering vessel capable of both ship-to-ship LNG and very low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) bunkering.
Ecobunker Shipping is currently working on the outfitting of the vessel, including the installation of equipment and tanks.
Ecobunker Shipping will continue to promote eco-friendly bunker fuel, whilst contributing to the development of Tokyo Bay as one of the world’s leading LNG bunkering hubs.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the naming and launching ceremony was held with a limited number of attendees in attendance. The ceremony was streamed live on YouTube.
