According to Reuters, an LNG cargo has left Cheniere Energy’s Sabine Pass terminal in Louisiana, US, and is currently en route to Spain.
The cargo will be Europe’s second ever cargo from the US and is scheduled to arrive on 22 July 2016 at the El Ferrol import terminal.
The vessel, Sestao Knutsen, is controlled by Royal Dutch Shell, and has a carrying capacity of 138 000 m3.
Reuters claims that the facility commenced production in February 2016, and has loaded a total of 15 shipments since then, not including the Sestao Knutsen.
