Construction starts at Calcasieu LNG plant

According to the latest Reuters report, Venture Global LNG has received authorisation for and begun construction at its Calcasieu LNG facility in Louisiana.
Speaking at the LNG2019 conference in Shanghai, Michael Sabel, co-chief executive and co-chairman of Venture Global, announced that the company had received “final FERC authorisation and DOE export authorisation.”
Calcasieu Pass has an LNG production capacity of 10 million tpy and is currently projecting that its commercial operations will begin in early 2022.
