Wärtsilä appoints new President of Energy Solutions

Wärtsilä Corp. has announced the appointment of Javier Cavada Camino as President of Energy Solutions, Executive Vice President and as a member of the company’s Board of Management, effective 4 November 2015.
In his new role, Mr Camino, who joined Wärtsilä in 2002, will be responsible for the company’s Energy Solutions business globally, and will report to President and CEO, Jaakko Eskola.
Mr Camino will replace the retiring Rakesh Sarin.
Mr Eskola said of the appointment: "Javier Cavada has shown strong results in the demanding posts he has held across the globe. With his wide experience and open management style he is perfectly suited for this position. Under his leadership Energy Solutions can demonstrate unparalleled life-cycle value to our customers.
"I wish to thank Rakesh Sarin for his attention and determination in motivating the Energy Solutions organisation into project execution. We have today a solid and healthy project pipeline, which supports us in reaching our targets."
Mr Cavada said: "With our people's expertise, motivation and innovation spirit I am convinced Wärtsilä is very well positioned to grow and become an even stronger player within the energy market. I am honoured to lead Energy Solutions organisation with the aim to improve our Customers' business with advanced technology and sustainable solutions."
