KBR, Inc. has announced that its global government services business, KBRwyle, has been awarded a US$52 million contract to provide maintenance for security systems and equipment for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Under the terms of the contract, over the next five years KBRwyle will maintain the security systems and equipment of more than 500 FAA locations nationwide that ensure the safety of US national air space.

The company has provided similar services to the FAA since 2011.

"KBRwyle offers the highest levels of security systems maintenance expertise in our industry. We are extremely pleased to be given this opportunity to continue to support the FAA in safeguarding our national airspace," said Byron Bright, KBRwyle President.

Revenue associated will be booked into the backlog of unfilled orders for KBR's Government Services business segment.
