LNG Industry,
DNV GL has been announced as the newest member of the World Energy Council’s (WEC) Global Partner programme.
As a Global Partner of the Council, DNV GL will engage in the activities of its national member committees in the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and the US to promote sustainable energy development in these countries as a part of the World Energy Council’s energy vision.
David Walker, CEO of DNV GL – Energy, said: “DNV GL’s overall goal is to help governments, energy providers and other stakeholders manage the world’s growing demand for energy, while balancing costs, reliability and the environment. In this energy trilemma we take a broader view of working beyond borders and boundaries, sharing our expertise from various regions and transferring these best practices to where they can achieve the most. I look forward to work with the World Energy Council and their network to learn and share our expertise as we strive for safety and sustainability in the energy and oil & gas industry.”
Christoph Frei, Secretary General of the World Energy Council, added: “Our Global Partners provide important insights for our dialogues in today’s uncertain energy world. DNV GL has significant experience in standardisation, certification and risk assessment across the entire energy value chain and with worldwide reach. Its insights at a time of important innovation will be greatly valued by our exclusive global energy leadership community.”
