Driftwood LNG receives authorisation to export LNG to FTA nations

Tellurian Inc. has announced that its Driftwood LNG project has received authorisation from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to export LNG to free trade agreement (FTA) nations.

The company has also submitted an application to export LNG to non-FTA nations, and is expecting to file its Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) application later this quarter.

The proposed 26 million tpy Driftwood LNG project is located near Lake Charles, Louisiana, in the US Gulf Coast. Tellurian expects that construction will commence in 2018, with first LNG expected for delivery in 2022, followed by full operation in 2025.
