The Texas Legislature recently passed resolutions detailing the benefits of expanded LNG export markets, as well as streamlining and expediting permit approval for pending export facilities.
The House and Senate resolutions were each adopted unanimously, as Our Energy Moment (OEM) members educated leaders on the benefits of LNG exports at the first annual LNG Day at the Texas Capitol.
Jason French, OEM spokesperson
"We applaud the Texas legislature for acknowledging the vital role LNG exports play for the state's economy, our long-term national economic growth and America's global energy security. Today's resolution on LNG Day at the State Capitol serves as yet another important validation of the critical role Texas continues to play in our nation's energy economy. Our Energy Moment looks forward to continuing to work with Texas to expand LNG export markets that create jobs for the people of the Lone Star State."
JM Lozano, Texas State Representative
"Construction and operation of these LNG export facilities will mean thousands of jobs for Texans and substantial indirect economic impacts to the entire state economy. Today was an important day to highlight all of the important benefits of expanded natural gas markets not only for Texas, but the entire country."
Craig Estes, Texas State Senator
"LNG exports provide the US with a historic opportunity to solidify our position as a global energy leader while also creating economic prosperity here at home. Texas is uniquely positioned to be a leader in this energy transformation, which is why it is important for these projects move ahead as soon as possible."
