SOXAL, Singapore LNG sign nitrogen supply agreement
Air Liquide, through its Singapore subsidiary, Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide Private Ltd (SOXAL), has signed a long-term agreement to supply nitrogen to Singapore LNG (SLNG).
Singapore LNG terminal
SLNG manages Singapore’s first LNG terminal. Under the terms of this agreement, SOXAL will invest in new pipeline infrastructure, which extends its existing nitrogen network on Singapore’s Jurong Island to the LNG terminal on the island’s southern tip.
SOXAL currently owns and operates the largest nitrogen network in Singapore with six air separation units interconnected through a common pipeline grid. The new supply agreement will strengthen SOXAL’s position on Jurong Island and will position the company strategically to support the future growth of the oil and gas and petrochemical industry.
Comments
John Ng, CEO of SLNG, commented: “SLNG has chosen SOXAL as our nitrogen supply partner because we believe that SOXAL’s well-established production units and network will meet the high performance standards required by SLNG.”
Kazuyuki Sakata, Managing Director of SOXAL, added: “SOXAL is pleased to be the nitrogen supplier for SLNG and would like to thank SLNG for placing its trust in SOXAL for this important supply to the Terminal. This latest investment underscores our commitment to Singapore to deliver a safe, reliable and robust gas supply.”
