The agreement applies to 23 vessels that feature Mark III and NO96 technologies. In addition to the assistance and intervention services that are already covered by the standard TSA, Teekay will now have access to the advisory and optimisation service, HEARS (Hotline Emergency Assistance & Response Service).
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: “Teekay holds one of the major LNG fleets in the world which will reach about 40 vessels by 2019. To assist our clients in the efficient operations of their LNGCs throughout the years, we provide them solutions to fit their new requirements, particularly by proposing tests which can be performed in operation without dry-docking.”
HEARS will give Teekay access to GTT experts at any time. They study a number of emergency situations and foresee operational solutions using an extensive and continuously updated GTT vessel database.
