Reuters is reporting that Inpex has sold a cargo of LNG from the Ichthys LNG plant, located offshore Australia, for a record low price.
According to Reuters trading sources, the cargo, due for loading in May, was sold for approximately US$1.70 to US$1.75 per million Btu.
The cargo was reportedly sold on a delivered ex-ship (DES) basis, but details of the buyer, and of a second cargo on offer from the plant at the same time, have not been confirmed.
