LNG Industry,

Pacific NorthWest LNG has thanked all those who provided feedback on its project, after Environment Minister Mary Polak and Natural Gas Development Minister Rich Coleman issued the project an Environmental Assessment Certificate.

Pacific NorthWest LNG paid tribute to those who contributed through open houses, working groups, town halls, online communication and personal interactions. In a statement, the company said that all  feedback helped to craft an Environmental Assessment Application that best reflected the views of the residents of the region.

Pacific NorthWest LNG continues to consult and engage with local First Nations, stakeholders and residents as it moves to successfully complete its federal environmental assessment and secure all necessary permits from all levels of government.

The certificate is subject to eight legally-binding conditions, which Pacific NorthWest LNG is committed to fulfilling.

Environmental Assessment Certificates have also been granted to the Westcoast Connector Gas Transmission pipeline and the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission pipeline.
