Qatar’s LNG capacity to hit 126 million by 2027

Reuters is reporting that, according to Qatar Petroleum’s chief executive Saad al-Kaabi, Qatar’s LNG production capacity will be expanded to 126 million tpy by 2027.
The country’s current LNG export capacity is 77 million tpy.
The forecast for this capacity increase is based on the results of exploration work undertaken in the expanded North Field mega project. Al-Kaabi recently announced that the results confirmed the presence gas reserves of the field exceeded 1760 trillion ft3.
