Sarens Group wins Ichthys LNG contract
The Sarens Group will perform sea lifting works for the INPEX-operated Ichthys LNG Project in Darwin, Australia after signing a contract with JKC Australia LNG, the joint venture between the JGC Corp., KBR and the Chiyoda Corp..
Over the course of one month, Sarens Group will perform two major installation works, one of which is the loading, transportation and installation of three jetty modules. These modules, the heaviest of which will weigh up to 472 t, will be picked-up from the module offloading facility (MOF) and installed on the jetty head by a 1250 t capacity CC6800 Terex Demag crawler crane mounted on a barge. The second major installation work will be the loading, transportation and installation of 14 jetty structures. These structures are being assembled on the East Arm Port and will be loaded by a 350 t Liebherr LR1350 onto a second barge and then transported to the jetty head where they will be installed with the CC6800 Terex Demag, which is mounted on the barge.
