The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting Eagle LNG Partners Jacksonville LLC long-term, multi-contract authorisation to export LNG to countries that hold a free trade agreement (FTA) with the US.
Eagle LNG has been authorised to export up to 49.8 billion ft3/yr of domestically produced LNG from its proposed LNG production, storage and export facility in Jacksonville, Florida, US.
Eagle LNG plans to load the LNG for export onto LNG carriers, as well as in approved ISO containers loaded onto container vessels.
Eagle LNG has been granted authorisation to export the LNG over a 20-year period. The DOE confirmed that Eagle LNG’s application to export LNG to non-FTA countries will be reviewed in a separate order.Edited from press release by Callum O'Reilly
