Woodfibre LNG launches online tool

LNG Industry,

Woodfibre LNG Limited has launched a new online tool to help answer community questions.

The interactive website askwoodfibrelng.ca allows people in the community to get answers to questions they may have about the Woodfibre LNG project.

Community interest

“We know from the conversations we are having each and every day that people in the community are interested in our project. Askwoodfibrelng.ca is another important way we are staying connected to the community and keeping that conversation going,” explained Byng Giraud, VP, Corporate Affairs.

"At Woodfibre LNG, we are committed to working with the community, and to building a project that is right for Squamish. Because of that we have made meaningful changes based on the things we have heard; for example, we committed to powering our facility with electricity from BC Hydro instead of burning natural gas, which will make Woodfibre LNG one of the cleanest LNG facilities in the world.”

The Woodfibre LNG project is a proposed small-scale natural gas liquefaction and export facility located at the former Woodfibre Pulp and Paper Mill, approximately 7 km southwest of Squamish.

Since the project began in 2013, Woodfibre LNG team members have participated in seven Open Houses, 10 small group meetings, and 10 stakeholder meetings as part of three rounds of formal public consultation.
