Woodside has announced changes to its Executive Leadership team in order to steer its future growth and its role in contributing to the achievement of global Paris Agreement goals.

Fiona Hick has been confirmed in the role of Senior Vice President Operations with immediate effect. Fiona has been acting in the role as leader of the Operations Division for the past nine months.

Dr Tom Ridsdill-Smith has been appointed to a new role as Senior Vice President Climate. The creation of this role demonstrates the strength of Woodside’s commitment to addressing climate change.

Reinhardt Matisons will retire from his position of Executive Vice President Marketing, Trading & Shipping on 1 August 2020. The Marketing Division will be merged with the Developments Division under the leadership of Meg O’Neill as Executive Vice President Developments and Marketing.

Michael Abbott will leave Woodside on 1 August 2020 and be succeeded as Senior Vice President Corporate & Legal by Daniel Kalms. Daniel has been with Woodside since 2001 and over the past two years has led the company’s Scarborough development to a position that readies it for a final investment decision (FID) when market conditions allow.

Woodside CEO Peter Coleman said: “I would like to congratulate Fiona, Tom, Meg, and Daniel on their new and expanded roles, and thank Reinhardt and Michael for their significant contributions to Woodside over many years. These changes allow us to refresh our Executive Leadership team and restructure our organisation in anticipation of the activity ahead.”
