Monadelphous awarded maintenance contract for Prelude FLNG

Monadelphous Group Ltd – an Australian engineering company – has announced that it has been awarded a long-term maintenance and modifications services contract for Shell’s floating LNG (FLNG) project – Prelude.
The FLNG project is located in the Browse Basin, which is approximately 475 km northeast of Broome, Australia.
The contract is valued at approximately AUS$200 million, and will last for 7 yr. Nonetheless, there is an option to extend it a further 2 yr.
Monadelphous will provide maintenance for the project, as well as brownfield modifications, support utilities, and hull and non-process infrastructure, such as control rooms and accommodation. In addition to this, the contract includes the delivery of fabrication services in Darwin, Australia, in support of offshore operations.
