Sabine Pass LNG files July 2016 progress update

Sabine Pass LNG LP, Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC and Sabine Pass Liquefaction Expansion LLC have filed their monthly progress report for July 2016 to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The report covers activities of Stages 1 – 3 at the Sabine Pass Liquefaction project.

Stage 1 engineering and procurement is 100% complete, while subcontract and direct hire construction work are 97% and 99.9% complete, respectively. Overall project completion for stage 1 is 99.7% complete against the plan of 100%.

Stage 2 engineering and procurement is also 100% complete, but subcontract and direct hire construction work are 61.9% and 77.8% complete, respectively. As such, overall project completion for stage 2 is 88.4%, compared to the plan of 96.6%.

Engineering at stage 3 is 81.5% complete and procurement is 59.3% complete. Subcontract work is 40.7% complete and direct hire work is 3%. Overall project completion at this stage is 40% against the plan of 33.1%.

Substantial completion of Train 1 was achieved in May 2016. Sabine Pass LNG expects substantial completion of Train 2 by late September 216, while substantial completion of Train 3 is now estimated to be June 2017 based on construction progress realised. Sabine Pass LNG also confirmed that it will monitor Train 4 progress over the coming months to assess any impact to the August 2017 substantial completion target.
