Angola LNG to experience further delays

According to Reuters, there are set to be further delays for the Angola LNG export facility in terms of raising production and shipping a cargo. The facility originally shut down in April 2014 because of errors in the construction process and problems regarding the handling of feed gas. The restart process commenced in January.

Trade sources told Reuters that Angola LNG was expecting to load its first cargo on 15 May. This was then supposed to be followed by a supply tender later in June. Both cargoes have now reportedly been postponed.

Nevertheless, Reuters claims that the export facility is expecting to commence restart operations by the end of May, and that the first cargo could still be shipped in June. Once the facility has produced a number of cargoes, it will then be shut down for a period of time, so that further testing can be carried out.
