Lanner has announced that Cameron LNG has awarded it a contract to provide its LNG Logistics Simulator. The technology will allow Cameron LNG operators to simulate a variety of scenarios for the possible expansion of its export terminal, which is located on the Calcasieu Channel in Louisiana, US.

Cameron LNG commenced the pre-filing review process with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the expansion of its three-train export facility in February 2015. Two new liquefaction Trains (4 and 5) and one new full containment LNG storage tank are expected to be included in the expansion project. The overall capacity of the facility is expected to increase by 9.97 million tpy (1.41 billion ft3/d) of LNG, should it be approved. The facility would then have a total capacity of 24.92 million tpy (4.53 billion ft3/d) of LNG.

The Solutions Sales Director at Lanner, Steve Hemsley, said: “We’re delighted to be collaborating with Cameron LNG on this important development. This is a world class project and Lanner’s world class software will help Cameron LNG achieve lasting success.”
