AEG Power Solutions wins equipment contract for Yamal LNG project

AEG Power Solutions has released a statement claiming that it has won a contract to provide equipment that will ensure uninterrupted power supply for the Yamal LNG project. The Protect 8 uninterrupted power supply systems are capable of operating in the extreme environmental conditions that the project is located in.
AEG will supply over 50 Protect 8 three-phase UPS units (400 V AC in/384 V DV out) for the facility. The systems are based on the double conversion topology.
The Vice President for Global Industry Sales at AEG Power Solutions, John Ferriman, said: “We have a rich experience and the Protect 8 UPS system has a proven track record of operation in most challenging environments.
“We are very glad to take part in such an ambitious project. The gas market is now gaining momentum and we are positioning ourselves to benefit from it.”
