LNG Industry,
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting G2 LNG LLC long-term multi-contract authorisation to export LNG to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries.
G2 LNG had requested authorisation to export a volume equivalent to approximately 672 billion ft3/yr of LNG over a 30 year term from its proposed LNG terminal along the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, US.
G2 LNG’s application stated that the proposed LNG terminal would have a 14 million tpy liquefaction capacity, with two LNG trains, LNG storage tanks and vessel loading facilities.
G2 LNG’s application to export to countries without a FTA agreement with the US is still pending.
