Gazprom has announced that its LNG portfolio has more than doubled in recent years to reach 3.56 million t in 2015.
The company said that the build-up of its global LNG portfolio, through the development of its production and LNG procurement, is highly relevant to the diversification of its gas export routes.
Gazprom described the expansion of Russia's only LNG plant, which was built within the Sakhalin II project, as a high priority. The LNG plant currently has a capacity of 9.6 million tpy. The plant’s throughput will increase 1.5-fold as soon as its third production train is put into operation.
Gazprom stated that Blatic LNG is another high priority project, with a design capacity of 10 million tpy.
The company also confirmed that it is paying attention to new and promising business areas, such as small scale LNG.
