LNG Industry,
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting Flint Hills Resources LP long-term, multi contract authorisation to export LNG to countries that hold a free trade agreement (FTA) with the US.
Under the order, Flint Hills Resources is authorised to export approximately 3.62 billion ft3/yr of domestically produced LNG in ISO containers and bulk on vessels, over a period of 20 years. The LNG will be produced from the Stabilis LNG Eagle Ford LLC facility in George West, Texas, US.
The DOE confirmed that it will issue a separate order on the company’s application to export LNG to non-FTA countries.
