NEB grants export licence to Bear Head LNG

Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) has granted autorisation to Bear Head LNG Corp. and Bear Head LNG to export LNG from Bear Head LNG’s project site on the Strait of Canso in Nova Scotia, Canada.
The licence extends for a period of 25 years from the date of the first LNG export and authorises the exportation of up to 8 million tpy of LNG from 2019, with expanded authority to increase production to 12 million tpy, in 2024.
Bear Head was also granted a licence to import 800 millon ft3/d of natural gas from the US.
