After spending a decade and billions of dollars developing Australia’s vast gas reserves, Chevron Corp and Woodside Petroleum are at odds over the pace and timing of the next leg of expansion.

Argentina will begin exporting natural gas to neighbouring Chile before the end of the year, the energy ministers of both countries said on 14 June.

Croatia passed a law on 14 June to enable the construction of a LNG terminal, part of a European Union drive to diversify away from Russian gas imports.

The Wheatstone Project has successfully commenced LNG production from Train 2 at its onshore facility near Onslow, Western Australia.
