Sakhalin 2 partially postpones maintenance to 2021

LNG Industry,

Reuters is reporting that the Sakhalin 2 LNG plant in Russia is going to postpone some of its annual maintenance to 2021.

This partial delay to the plant’s maintenance has been made necessary by logistical difficulties caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The work had initially been scheduled to be completed in the summer of this year, however it will now proceed more gradually. Indeed, a Sakhalin Energy official has been reported as saying that the plant’s lines would now undergo maintenance separately, rather than simultaneously as originally planned.
