Corpus Christi Liquefaction authorised to commission Train 1

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued an order authorising Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL) to introduce gas and commission the Train 1 fuel gas system at CCL’s liquefaction and export terminal under construction at Corpus Christi, Texas.
Hugh Thomas’ (Chief, LNG Branch 2) letter to Akayla Broussard (Cheniere Energy, Inc.) read as follows:
“I grant your 2 July, 2018 request for Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL) to introduce gas and commission the Train 1 fuel gas system. Your request is in compliance with Environmental Conditions 11, 27, 87 – 92, 94, and 95 of the Commission’s 30 December, 2014 Order Granting Authorisation Under Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act and Issuing Certificates (Order), in the above-referenced docket. This approval is based on FERC staff inspections and review of the information filed on 25 May, 7 and 26 June, and 2 and 3 July, 2018.
I remind you that CCL must comply with all applicable remaining terms and conditions of the above referenced Order, as well as procedures stipulated in your previous filings. We also note that CCL must also comply with any applicable Department of Transportation requirements under 49 CFR 193.
Please note that this approval does not grant CCL the authority to commence construction of additional project facilities at the LNG terminal. Additional authorisations will be released once CCL has demonstrated full compliance with the conditions of the Order.”
