LNG Industry,
According to Reuters, a small fire has occurred at the construction site of Shell’s floating LNG (FLNG) unit – Prelude. An investigation as to the cause of the fire is currently being carried out, and work has resumed immediately.
Reuters claims that one source said that this minor occurrence would not affect the delivery schedule of the vessel.
In late May 2016, Nikkiso Cryo released a video detailing the development of the FLNG unit, including footage of testing and construction. The video can be seen here.
