Development of strategic cooperation discussed by Gazprom and Shell

Gazprom has announced that Alexey Miller – the Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee – has met Ben van Beurden – the CEO of Shell – at the sixth St. Petersburg International Gas Forum in Russia.
During a working meeting, both men discussed a number of issues related to the development of a strategic partnership in the energy sector. Special attention was paid to the construction project for the third LNG train for the Sakhalin II project. It was noted that the preparation of design and front end engineering design (FEED) documentation is almost complete.
During the meeting, the parties also touched on other potential projects under the agreement of strategic cooperation, which was signed by both companies in 2015. Progress of the Nord Stream 2 project was also reviewed, with Shell reaffirming its position to facilitate the project.
