Canadian Premiers meet to discuss energy

The Government of British Columbia (B.C.), Canada, has announced that Canada’s western and northern premiers will meet at the annual Western Premiers’ Conference (WPC). Christy Clark – the Premier of B.C. and a firm proponent of LNG – will host the meeting in Vancouver.
Clark said: “I am looking forward to be hosting this year’s Western Premiers' Conference. […] The conference provides us an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with our neighbours and to discuss opportunities to build long-term partnerships and work together for the benefit of all Canadians.”
The conference will focus on growing the economy, as well as the responsible development of the energy industry. Climate action, international trade and market access, Aboriginal entrepreneurship, immigration, wildfires, floods, etc., will also be major discussion points.
Clark went on to say: “This year's conference promises to once again be a productive and invaluable opportunity to discuss our goals and challenges and develop a common outlook on the way forward.
“We can do more for the people of our provinces and territories by working together.”
