Elba Island LNG facility evacuated due to Hurricane Dorian

The company will reportedly resume startup operations once workers are able to safely return to the island.
Chief Executive Officer, Steven Kean, said: “We’re making very good progress on Elba, and then Hurricane Dorian happened.”
According to Reuters, as the hurricane moved towards Georgia’s coast, Brian Kemp, the state governor, declared a state of emergency in 21 counties. This covers over 900 000 residents; 400 000 of which have been ordered to evacuate.
