According to Reuters, Chevron Corp. has announced that its Deputy Managing Director in Australia, Nigel Hearne, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive for the company’s Australian operations. Hearne will replace long-term Managing Director, Roy Krzywosinski, who will transfer to Houston, US, to serve as the head of engineering in Chevron’s Energy Technology Company.
Steve Green, the President of Chevron Asia Pacific Exploration and Production, reportedly said: “Nigel's appointment reflects his strong downstream and upstream operating experience, combined with his proven record of leading large, complex operations, such as our Richmond refinery.”
Chevron’s Gorgon LNG project recently halted production due to a mechanical issue in a cooling unit. Reuters reports that the facility is set to restart this month.
