Setback for Oregon LNG

LNG Industry,

A federal judge has ruled that the US Army Corps of Engineers has a valid legal right to deposit dredge spoils at the site of Oregon LNG’s proposed LNG terminal on the East Skipanon Peninsula near Warrenton, Oregon, US.

As such, Oregon LNG is unable to build the LNG terminal, unless the Army Corps of Engineers is willing to forfeit the easement that it was granted by Clatsop County in 1957.

“The Corps vigorously defended this lawsuit to protect a valuable public property right and the court got it right,” said Miles Johnson, Clean Water Attorney for Columbia Riverkeeper.
