Honeywell awarded Goldboro LNG contract

Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) has announced that it will provide full automation and safety systems for Pieridae Energy’s Goldboro LNG project, which is currently under construction in Eastern Canada.
HPS will also serve as integrated main automation contractor (I-MAC) for the LNG project, which will be able to process 10 million tpy of LNG. The terminal, which will have a storage capacity of 690 000 m3, is expected to startup in 2021.
Honeywell will be responsible for designing, delivering and installing the distributed control systems (DCS), safety instrumented systems, fire and gas systems, and operator training simulator (OTS) for the LNG project. The company will also help Pieridae integrate all plant infrastructure to the business enterprise systems.
Honeywell will use a number of its integrated solutions to reduce risks and minimise potential schedule delays for both Goldboro LNG and its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor during the facility startup.
