Fugro receives offshore survey contract

Ophir Equatorial Guinea (Block R) Ltd has contracted Fugro for the provision of survey services for the development of large scale assets and infrastructure offshore Equatorial Guinea.
Under the contract, Fugro will deploy three of its specialist vessels - Fugro Searcher,Fugro Scout andFugro Frontier – to perform autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) surveys as well as geotechnical, environmental and metocean surveys.
The survey programme will take place at the Fortuna Project to the west of Bioko Island. Ophir is planning a large floating LNG (FLNG) installation and associated subsea structures at this location.
The surveys will begin in November 2015 and the offshore operations are scheduled for completion in January 2016.
