INPEX wins permit for Abadi LNG Project
INPEX Corp. announced earlier today that its affiliate INPEX Masela Ltd received an environmental permit from the Indonesian government. The permit was based on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment of the Abadi LNG Project, which is currently developing the floating LNG (FLNG) concept.
In 1988 INPEX acquired a 100% participating interest in the Masela Block through an open bid conducted by the Indonesia government.
In 2010, the Government of Indonesia granted its approval to the plan of development for Stage-I (POD-1) for an FLNG facility with 2.5 million tpa capacity of LNG.
