Petronas has announced that its floating LNG (FLNG) vessel, PFLNG Satu (PFLNG1), arrived at the Kanowit gas field, offshore Sarawak, on 30 May 2016.

PFLNG Satu set sail on 14 May 2016, and has since traveled 2120 nautical miles to reach its destination.

The PFLNG SATU, which has a processing capacity of 1.2 million tpy, was towed from the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) shipyard in Okpo, South Korea for the offshore phase of the project.

The installation, hook-up and commissioning of the floating facility was expected to proceed once it has been moored at the Kanowit gas field.
