GTT receives FRSU order from HHI

GTT’s Mark III Flex technology has been selected for a newbuild floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), to be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).

The FSRU is expected to be delivered in 2017. A total of 14 FSRUs ordered across the globe since 2011 will be equipped with GTT technologies.

As of 31 March 2015, GTT's order book included six FSRUs, three of which were ordered last year. In addition, six FSRUs equipped with GTT technologies were delivered in 2014.

The company owes its strong position in this offshore segment to the competitive advantages offered by its technologies, including CAPEX/OPEX and optimisation of LNG storage capacity.

Commenting on the contract win, Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, said: "We are very satisfied that our systems have become the standard in this offshore gas industry segment. We are quite confident in our capability to record new successes."
