Japanese officials visit proposed LNG terminal site

A Japanese delegation recently toured Port MacKenzie, the site of a proposed 1 million tpy small scale LNG plant that Resources Energy Inc. plans to build and operate by 2021. 

Assembly Members with the Kyoto Prefecture and Maizuru City met with Matanuska-Susitna Borough Assembly Members, Dan Mayfield and Jim Sykes, as well as Port Director Marc VanDongen. The touring party was visiting the site to consider its potential for the LNG project, which could see exports of Cook Inlet gas to Japan.

Ryozo Tatami, Mayor of Maizuru Port of Kyoto, Japan, said that he was very impressed by the overall facility.
