Gate terminal, a subsidiary of Gasunie and Vopak, has announced that the 1000th truck has been loaded with LNG at its truck loading facility.

This significant milestone has been reached within two years of the truck loading facility being opened at the terminal. Gate said that 15 different customers have used the truck loading service within that time. The 1000th truck originated from Prima LNG and was loaded with LNG on Thursday 14 January.

In 2014, 174 trucks and containers were loaded with LNG at Gate terminal. This increased to 788 vehicles in 2015. A second truck loading bay is under construction at the terminal, and Gate said that other facilities for distribution of LNG are being build at the terminal, such as a break bulk harbour basin with berthing and loading facilities.
