Chart supplies skid mounted LNG refuelling station

Chart Industries, Inc. subsidiary, Chart Ferox, has supplied its first skid mounted LNG refuelling station to Gasrec’s Bridgwater site in the UK.

The station includes a 30 m³ horizontal LNG storage tank, submerged transfer pump and LNG dispenser, all of which are mounted within a single frame.

A separate 10 ft container includes a remote panel, providing both Programmable Logic Controller Systems and pneumatic logic control of the station which features vent-free filling.

The station is the latest development in Gasrec’s programme to establish a national network of Bio-LNG/LCNG truck refuelling stations throughout the UK.

Low cost implementation benefits fuel station owners, vehicle manufacturers and fleet operators," commented Hans Lonsain, President of Chart D&S Europe.

Bridgewater is Gasrec’s second open-access UK Bio-LNG filling station and the first in the South West. The company is working closely with customers to develop its network of stations across the country.

Gasrec’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ben Sawford, added: “We were pleased to have the support of a number of existing customers as we opened this station. As news of the facility grows I am confident many other businesses will see the benefit its location brings in extending the reach of gas powered HGVs in the region and through into Devon and Cornwall.”
