Seminars discuss LNG bunkering

LNG Industry,

MarTech LNG, DNV GL and Liquiline hosted two seminars for the maritime sector in the ports of Frederikshavn and Esbjerg in May 2014. The seminars focused on LNG bunkering solutions and ways of economising the process.

The aim of the seminars was to prove that establishing small-scale container solutions that are mobile, flexible and can easily be up scaled due to volume changes is possible today.

The participants found that LNG as fuel for vessels meets the maritime market's needs, and represents a cost-effective solution that is possible to establish quickly.

“The 2015 Sox regulations are on our door step, and the solutions are here and they are available. Liquiline offers different various LNG bunkering solutions adjusted to the customers’ need of bunkering ports, volume and type of vessel,” a statement from the company said. It also noted that the market was ready for Danish maritime stakeholders, such as ports and shipping companies.

Speakers from shipping companies already in the LNG ship fuel market expressed the need for LNG bunkering infrastructure in the SECA area.“Liquiline is ready to provide our LNG solutions and services to the Danish maritime market, and is looking forward to acting as an LNG partner and solution provider to the upcoming various projects,” the company added.
