LNG Industry,
INOXCVA has delivered 3 x 770 m3 LNG marine fuel tanks to TGE Marine Gas Engineering for Crowley Maritime Corp.’s 2400 TEU ConRo ships project.
These fuel tanks were rolled out from INOXCVA’s Kandla facility in India where INOXCVA has invested in state-of-the-art facilities to manufacture these type of fuel gas tanks and similar large tanks with high degree of quality, reliability and quicker lead times needed to meet the growing requirement for shorter overall project schedules.
The tanks are double walled vacuum insulated Type-C tanks, and are destined to VT Halter Marine Shipyard in the USA.
Once installed on the ConRo ship, the combined LNG storage will support operation of ME-GI main engine and auxiliary generators on natural gas in order reduce emission to the atmosphere.
This delivery is the first of a set of three deliveries, with the second expected later in 2015.
