Beijing energy group secures deal for LNG terminal

According to the latest Reuters report, Beijing Energy Investment Holding Company has signed a strategic alliance agreement with the local authorities of Tangshan to cooperate on building a large-scale receiving facility of LNG.
The cooperation, which also covers gas power plants and distributed energy projects, is part of the government plan to boost gas use to replace coal in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The LNG facility is proposed at Caofeidian of Tangshan city, in northern China.
Beijing Energy Investment Holding is controlled by Beijing municipal government.
