JX Nippon and Malaysia LNG conclude agreement
JX Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation (NOE) has concluded the LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Malaysia LNG, for the supply of liquefied natural gas from Malaysia LNG’s Dua plant.
NOE will receive 380 000 tpa of LNG for a period of 10 years, beginning in 2015.
Japanese LNG terminals
LNG will be delivered to the Hachinohe LNG terminal, which is currently under construction in Hachinohe City, Aomori, Japan and the Mizushima LNG terminal, in Mizushima City, Okayama, Japan.
LNG from the Hachinohe LNG terminal will be supplied to the northern part of Tohoku region, as well as to the eastern part of Hokkaido through Kushiro LNG Satellite Terminal, scheduled to commence operations in April 2015.
