Pakistan LNG terminal imports 1 million t

According to reports, the Engro Elengy Terminal Pakistan Ltd (ETPL) LNG facility in Pakistan has imported approximately 1 million t of LNG so far.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Syed Muhammad Ali, is reported to have said that the LNG terminal has received 17 voyages since it was operational, which is equal to 88% utilisation of the LNG terminal.
The government of Pakistan is contracted to import around 1.5 million t of LNG during the first year of operation at the terminal.
Ali said that Pakistan should set up an additional three or four LNG import terminals to bridge the gap between demand and supply of natural gas.
