Air Flow to launch new take on regasification equipment

Published by , Senior Editor
LNG Industry,

Next year, Air Flow is set to launch a groundbreaking small scale LNG regasification solution, called the Combo, in the US.

LNG transfer can be a time consuming process, which is a particular issue for industries with seasonal activity. For example, the asphalt industry in Texas, US, has a peak activity of hot mix production during the summer season. Air Flow North America’s Business Development Manager, Kelly Marull, explains: “Companies that choose a cleaner gas such as LNG to fuel their burners will consume up to 15 000 gal. of LNG daily during that period. That amounts to two LNG loading operations per day. When those loading operations are very slow, these companies have to interrupt their production which prevents them from running their business efficiently.”

To overcome this problem, Air Flow has designed an innovative and efficient solution that is entirely self-sufficient as it is powered by solar panels. The Combo consists of a turbo container and an ambient vaporiser equipped with an anti-liquid invasion valve to further prevent any risks. The solution is supported by two patents.
