Eniram receives Cleantech Group award

Eniram Ltd has been named by Cleantech Group (CTG) as one of its five picks as a ‘European Cleantech Company of the Decade’. This one-off award was made in connection with the 10th anniversary Cleantech Forum Europe, held in Stockholm, Sweden, this year.
Henrik Dahl, Eniram CEO, said: “We are excited to be receiving this prestigious award […] Today, Eniram is a profitable company, growing significantly faster than industry averages […] In fact, 2013 has been Eniram’s best year ever: the company generated record revenues, our systems are today in use on over 200 ships and, not least, we saved 35 000 t of fuel, roughly US$ 35 million, for our customers.
Sheeraz Haji, CEO, CTG, said: “To identify the best five European cleantech companies of the decade would be an impossible task […] After all, how can you meaningfully compare, say, a profitable ESCO with a pre-revenue bio-materials developer? Instead, we set out to select private companies that got started and have achieved impressive results in the timeframe since we first conceived of a Cleantech Forum Europe. We sought companies whose stories are illustrative of the collective journey we have all been on, and whose promise for 2014 and beyond is exciting and speaks to the sustainable innovation opportunities in front of us.”
Richard Youngman, Managing Director Europe & Asia, CTG, added: “Eniram was picked to represent software and the power of analytics as an enabler of ’doing more with less’ in the 21st century economy […] This particular company, in reducing emissions by 163 000 t of CO2 last year (the equivalent to 32 000 cars) and saving the shipping industry millions of Euros in fuel costs, has been growing its revenues significantly over the past few years. As such, it is a good example of what software innovation can achieve for industrial resource efficiency going forward.”
